Dr. Nathan Powell - Dentist
Forefront Dentistry in Tulsa, OK is led by Nathan D. Powell, DDS. A native of Northeast Oklahoma, Dr. Powell grew up in Tulsa with his parents and younger brother and graduated from high school in 2005. The following fall, he began attending Oral Roberts University (ORU), where he met his future wife Sarah and they wed in 2008. Dr. Powell graduated Summa Cum Laude from ORU with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Chemistry in 2009. Four years later, he completed his studies with honors from The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Powell went on to be accepted into a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. This residency consisted of a rigorous curriculum with a special emphasis on dental implant placement, advanced cosmetic dentistry, and modern dental technology. After successfully completing his residency Dr. Powell returned to his home city to start his practice in 2014 and now resides in Broken Arrow with his wife Sarah and their two dogs, Abby and Remy.
Sarah Powell - Front Office Manager
Sarah has been serving as the Front Office Manager of Forefront since September 2014 and absolutely loves connecting with patients, answering their questions, and guiding them through their dental treatment. It may surprise patients that working in a dental office was never in Sarah’s plans. Sarah pursued a Theological Historical Studies degree from Oral Roberts University, where she met Dr. Powell. They were married in July 2008 and moved to Oklahoma City in June 2009 for Dr. Powell to begin dental school. During those years, Sarah began working for the Bank of Oklahoma, where she started as a teller and later had the opportunity to move into branch management. This practical experience opened her eyes to the possibility of being able to help Dr. Powell in the office with her accounting strengths and her heart for people. It began a very exciting time of dreaming and planning their future together. To her amazement, she grew to love working in the office, problem-solving, and caring for patients like family. She is Dr. Powell’s biggest fan and looks forward to continuing to strive for Forefront’s success for years to come.
Farrin Rademacher - Registered
Dental Hygienist
One of the sweetest members of our staff at Forefront Dentistry is our Dental Hygienist, Farrin Smith. She was both born and raised here in Tulsa, OK, and attended the University of Oklahoma’s Dental Hygiene Program. Farrin was drawn to dentistry after witnessing the kind of impact a compassionate dental hygienist could have on a patient’s life over the years. After graduating, Farrin joined our team in June 2019 and loves engaging patients while helping them to love their smiles. Throughout the Hygiene appointments, Farrin strives to facilitate her patient’s comfort and to provide a positive experience. When she is away from the office, Farrin enjoys spending time with her husband, exercising, cooking, listening to audiobooks, and spoiling her corgi, Baxter.
Kimmy McClain - Dental Assistant
Dr. Powell is very grateful to have Kimmy McClain our main Dental Assistant as his teammate through his dental procedures. Kimmy came to Oklahoma from New Jersey, hoping for a new adventure, and found herself attending Owasso Dental Assisting Academy. Shortly after starting her dental career with Forefront Dentistry in February 2015, Kimmy grew to love dentistry, particularly surgical procedures. She enjoys the work of removing decay and infection to better patients’ health and relieve their pain. Kimmy views one of her strengths as a dental assistant to be her personal experience with having quite a bit of dental work done herself. She finds herself connecting with patients by assuring them that she understands what it is like to be the patient in the chair, explaining the various kinds of procedures, and easing patients’ apprehensions by telling them what to expect. A few fun facts about Kimmy include: that she is from a large family. She has four brothers, one sister, and 19 nieces and nephews…with more on the way. Kimmy also has a lot of pets: dogs Ruby and Lilly, cats Crush and Asa, and a tank full of fish. In March 2020, Kimmy married the love of her life and best friend, Brendan McClain.
Lauren Webster - Patient Treatment Coordinator
Lauren is the first face you see when visiting the ForeFront Dentistry office in Tulsa, OK. She joined Forefront Dentistry in October 2021 and is passionate about helping patients understand their treatment options for better dental health. In many ways, the dental world chose Lauren. Lauren studied Medical Coding out of high school and has completed several courses in Medical Coding and Billing. She is certified in ICD-9, ICD-10, CPC, and HCPCS. This helped her quickly learn what dental codes and procedures were all about! And although she began her love for healthcare in a hospital setting, dental care has allowed her to relate in new ways and expand her passion for assisting patients more personally. When she isn’t in Forefront scrubs, Lauren, her husband Dakota, and two daughters, Maddox and Mesa, work together on their horse operation business where they board, train, and rodeo.
