Patient FAQs

How do I make an appointment?

We make it easy and convenient to reach our Tulsa dentistry office. We encourage patients to call or text our office at (918) 664-6845 during business hours to schedule most appointments, or you may reach our office by email. You are also welcome to text us with quick questions on scheduling, prescription refills, or any tooth concerns you may have.

How do you handle payment and insurance?

We are presently in-network with many of the major dental insurance providers such as Delta Dental, Metlife, Aetna, and Cigna. However, in an ever-changing dental insurance environment, we encourage every new and existing patient to contact us with any questions when they would like to verify their insurance coverage.  As a standard, payment for services is expected at the time that services are rendered. We presently accept CareCredit as a partner in facilitating extended payment plans for patients. Any additional financial arrangements conducted within the office are handled case by case with the Front Office Manager.

How are you approaching patient safety since COVID-19?

The safety of our patient family is of utmost importance. All our staff is properly trained and equipped with protective measures to ensure your health and safety. This includes masks, gowns, consistent temperature checks of staff, and much more. After appointments are finished, the dental suites are cleaned and disinfected to the highest standards. We spend countless hours preparing our facilities and staying updated on the latest in public health and recommendations from the American Dental Association to keep patients healthy and happy! Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.

What should I expect as a new patient?

As a new patient, we would ask that you call our office (918) 664-6845 to schedule a new patient appointment. At this initial appointment, we offer a cleaning, a full series of X-rays, and a comprehensive exam with Dr. Powell. We use this time to get to know our patients, understand their concerns or goals for their teeth, and recommend the best dental care that will restore their smiles and help them to achieve those goals. We view dental care as a partnership between Dr. Powell and the patient.
